About Dr. Donald Ritchie

Located at 6733 Highlands Court Smith, Tyler, TX 75703, Dr. Donald Ritchie operates as a pediatric dentist serving Tyler in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (903) 531-9000. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

It has a Google rating of 5.0 out of 5, though from only 2 reviews so far, so treat the score as an early indication rather than a verdict.

Tyler is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Tyler is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Dr. Ritchie and his team provide an exceptional experience. They foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere for their patients. My daughter was quite anxious about her procedure this morning, but Dr. Ritchie's warm smile and compassionate bedside manner made all the difference. If you are looking for a thorough pediatric dentist, I highly recommend him. I appreciate how Dr. Ritchie takes the time to explain everything to my daughter. She is now seven years old and has been coming to this practice since she was around three or four years old. I am more than willing to drive over an hour for this outstanding level of care. Finding a dentist who genuinely loves their work, along with a supportive staff, is rare. Daniel, the dental assistant, along with Blanca and Rose at the front desk, are also amazing! ❤️
